Pt 1.
Everything in its most subtle form is energy (atom) or vibration (frequency).
Vibration has two aspects that we know of: form and sound.
There is a study that Masaru Emoto performed and wrote a book on his findings called, "The Miracle of Water", which studies the affect vibration (sound) effects the molecular structure of water when introduced to sounds such as "hate" and "love". The picks of each sound are generally contrasting in nature to ensure an optimal difference of vibration.
I could go on and on about this study but I will leave it at that. I'd highly recommend his book as it is beautifully written and studied, however, like some studies, there are flaws of which you can learn for yourself :) if interested of course.
Now, back to vibration.
In short, speaking negatively or harsh vibratory sounds creates a polluted structure. Since we are composed of 70%+ water, the way we speak to others which is also speaking to ourselves from within ourselves immediately affects our physiology. On the contrary, positive and pleasant vibrations create a structure that is more pure.
When we change the sound current in ourselves, we cultivate a shift.
There is a practice called "Japa" which for those of you who have a Mala (Hindu stoned necklace or bracelet) or Rosary can use it as a tool to recite a particular mantra, which means "heart expansion". We can perform an internal dialogue to influence our Yantra or (form) through whatever mantra we decide to take on which induces a particular experience.

Pt 2.
Part of attaining knowledge is through learning, which, I hope you did here. However, wisdom is now taking this knowledge and putting it into action which will lead to experience and experience is of the upmost value in "knowing".
Keep in mind that "knowing" is what the ego will label your experience and create the, "oh, I've done this before or I know how this goes" syndrome. Liberate yourself from this perverted thinking and always arrive as a beginner mind.
One of my favorite quotes is, "One thing I know is that I don't know".
It's okay to not know, it allows yourself to stay open and receptive, even if you have heard the same thing one hundred times; maybe this time around you will hear it differently.
With love always, Jace
