I had an AH-HA moment today while driving and it truly reminded me how simple it is to live a life of unconditional happiness regardless of the conditions present.
As I begin to tell you what this AH-HA moment was, promise yourself that you won't just see its simplicity but more so admire its power.
Backstory:
I was driving down I-25 today (a major highway) and found myself behind a car that was going at least 15 mph below the speed limit and I thought to myself, "Why is this person going so slow? Speed up!" my mind was relaying. I was becoming slightly irritated and wanting to rip around him, to which I did. After passing him and what not, I kept finding myself fixated on how slow this person was going and blah blah blah bah...all of this unecessary attention towards something that was completely out of my control. You know what was in my control? This was my AH-HA! moment...I was reminded that the way I respond is what I will experience.
Since I responded in a way that could be seen as lower vibration, I began to create more of this in the form of thought with proceeding statements such as, "what the hell is this person doing? Get out of the way", Etc. Luckily I became aware of how I was responding and switched my focus elsewhere.
What we can learn from all this is that 1, how we respond is what we will experience, and 2, awareness is a vital component of this particular experience and all experiences really. Without awareness how can we respond in a different manner if we don't see it? Break the old conditioned responses to situations and people, then you shall create new and more than likely, better experiences.
"Life isn't as difficult as we sometimes see it, the thing is, we are generally blinded by old conditioned frames of perception and must clean our lens to see it alternate possibilities." -JB
